End-of-Life Doula & Community Educator

End-of-life is a deeply personal, sacred journey, and it deserves to be met with dignity, compassion, and
presence. An end-of-life doula provides non-medical, holistic support to individuals and their loved ones
as they navigate the dying process, ensuring they feel heard, honored, and cared for. As a community
educator, I also work to normalize conversations around death and dying, fostering a culture of acceptance
and informed decision-making.

You Are Not Alone

End of Life Education

As an experienced educator in the field of death and dying, I have provided workshops for organizations such as Macmillan Cancer Support and the Rainbow Project NI. My workshops can focus on a range of topics, including End of Life Planning, Grief Education for Counsellors, Babyloss Training, and Community Memorials. These sessions aim to equip professionals, caregivers, and communities with the knowledge and tools to approach death with confidence, sensitivity, and care.

Honouring the Journey
of Death and Grief

Death and loss are inherently sad, but they don’t need to be traumatic.

Facing the end of life—whether our own or that of someone we love—is one of the most profound human experiences. Yet, in our modern world, death is often hidden away, leaving many feeling unprepared and unsupported. This is where end-of-life doulas come in.

End-of-life doulas provide compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families navigating the dying process. They offer guidance in emotional, spiritual, and practical matters, helping to create a sense of meaning, peace, and connection in a time that can feel overwhelming.

I can help you and your family craft these meaningful moments, whether through legacy projects, guided reflections, or simply holding space with deep presence. This work serves as a reminder that death is not just an end, but a deeply human experience—one that can be met with grace, love, and even beauty.

How I Support You

  • Holding space for deep conversations, fears, and reflections.
  • Offering active listening and companionship without judgment.
  • Helping families navigate options for home death, hospice, and palliative care.
  • Supporting in the creation of end-of-life plans, including advance directives and vigil
    planning.
  • Facilitating the creation of memory books, letters, or recorded messages.
  • Helping individuals define their personal legacy and final wishes.
  • Providing presence and reassurance in the final days and hours.
  • Supporting families in creating a peaceful and sacred environment.

What I Do Not Offer

  • Medical or hospice care (though I work alongside these providers).
  • Legal or financial advice (I can refer you to professionals in these fields).
  • Decision-making on your behalf—my role is to empower you in making informed choices.

Embracing Death as a Natural Part of Life

Death care is social justice work. Everyone—no matter their background, identity, or circumstances—deserves a good death. Dying isn’t just medical; it’s personal, communal, and deeply human. When we center dignity, choice, and care in the dying process, we challenge systems of inequality and reclaim death as a sacred, collective experience.
