The Thawing Heart
A spring ritual of feeling, softening, and coming back to life.
Unlike the slow thawing of the natural world around us, the psychological season we're in has not arrived gently. Like flooded river banks, we're asked sift through the swirls of despair and emotion, orient towards the blooming that has announced itself, and tend to the places that remain unthawed.
As the world trembles between chaos and becoming, we gather in the tender instability of spring where anger, grief, hope, and joy coexist like shifting weather. Nothing is neatly resolved here. The thaw does not need to be tidy, just honest.
In this workshop, we practice staying with what moves... or hasn't found a way to do so - yet.
Through yin yoga, yoga nidra, and sound, we create a trauma-informed container for emotional and seasonal transition. Long-held shapes invite the body to soften at its own pace. The nervous system is given time; time to settle, time to feel, time to metabolise what has been braced against.
Spring energy does not bypass what winter held.
It melts it.
There may be heat. There may be tears. There may be unexpected lightness. You are welcome in all of it. This practice does not ask you to be calm or positive. Only present. Only curious about what is stirring beneath the surface.
Physical postures, guided rest, and healing sounds are offered as quiet thresholds, ways of sensing into the body without force or performance. You may hum, breathe deeply, remain still, or adjust as needed. Your pace is the right pace.
This workshop is for those willing to meet the complexity of being human in uncertain times. For those who feel the ache of the world and still sense the pulse of something rising. We honour personal limits, choice, and autonomy throughout. You are always free to rest, observe, or step back. Presence is enough.
