Trauma & Somatic Support

We carry our stories in our bodies. Trauma isn’t only what happened to us, but how our body learned to protect us in the aftermath. These protections are wise, but they can also leave us feeling disconnected, numb, hypervigilant, or stuck.
My work offers trauma-informed, regenerative somatic support to help you come home to your body, your truth, and your capacity to heal. I believe trauma healing isn’t about fixing you, but about honouring your wholeness—even in the places that hurt.

You Are Not Alone
Knowledge is Power!
Trauma is usually an experience that is shocking and charged with emotion, isolating, leaving the individual without strategies to cope, and lacking in personal control. This can be an individual incident or a series of experiences. Most commonly we think of neglect and abuse, natural disasters, terrorism, community shocking events like shootings, serious accidents or life- threatening illness, as well as sexual expoitation and trafficing.
Trauma can happen to an individual directly, or they can witness it in others and absorb the experience for themselves.
My Approach

Trauma-informed practice is not a method, but a way of being in relationship. It centres safety, choice, and trust. I will never tell you how you “should” feel or heal. Instead, we co-create a space where you can listen to your own body’s wisdom at your own pace.
Trauma Basics
Trauma lives in the body. It can show up as overwhelm, numbness, hypervigilance, chronic tension, or feeling stuck in old survival patterns. Understanding your nervous system can help you recognise these responses with compassion—not as personal failings, but as your body’s wise attempts to keep you safe.
Regenerative Somatics
This approach is about more than coping. It’s about restoring connection to your body, your senses, your environment, and your relationships. Together, we’ll use gentle somatic practices to support regulation, resilience, and the possibility of new choices.
Ritual & Ceremony
Sometimes what hurts most cannot be spoken. Ritual offers a container for grief, loss, fear, and transformation—especially when words fall short. I can help you design simple, personal ceremonies to mark thresholds and honour what matters.
